Shi-ne (skt.: shamatha; tib.: shi ne) Also translated as mental quietude. It is a calm and peaceful state of mind, free from obstacles to concentration, and remains fixed on an object for as long as we wish.
What does "shine" mean in Buddhism?
Buddhism teaches the concept of "illuminating and manifesting one's true nature" (cf. WND-1, 746). This means revealing your innate true self, your intrinsic true potential, and letting it shine, illuminating everything around you. It refers to your most refined individuality and uniqueness.
