My name is Wangdi, and my story begins in a small, quiet village nestled among the high mountains of Tibet. Growing up in this environment, steeped in nature and ancient traditions, I learned from a young age the value of community, humility, and respect for our spiritual heritage. Village life was simple but rich in wisdom, guided by the teachings of Tibetan Buddhism and a strong connection to the land.
In 1995, driven by the search for new opportunities and following my heart, I moved from Tibet to Nepal. In Nepal, I had the privilege of receiving guidance from my grandfather, Lama Gangchen, a figure of great wisdom and kindness who profoundly influenced my outlook on life and spirituality. Thanks to him, I understood the importance of compassion, mindfulness, and the preservation of our cultural traditions.
During my years in Nepal, I dedicated myself passionately to carpentry, refining my skills and working with wood using techniques passed down through generations in my family. Every object I created embodied the values and stories of our tradition. Carpentry became much more than a job for me: it represented a way to honor my roots and serve the community.
In 2002, a new chapter of my life began: I moved to Italy, eager to discover new horizons and reunite with my uncle. Together, we participated in numerous fairs and events throughout the country, bringing the beauty and spiritual depth of Tibetan culture to an ever-wider audience. Thanks to my uncle's teachings, I learned the secrets of entrepreneurship, customer service, and the importance of building authentic relationships even in a new land.
Life in Italy presented me with many challenges, but these experiences helped me grow both personally and professionally. The welcoming Italian culture and the circle of friends I made made me feel at home. In 2010, I met my beloved wife, whose constant support and enthusiasm encouraged me to look confidently towards the future. Together, we have been blessed with two wonderful children, a daily source of happiness and inspiration.
Guided by a shared vision, my wife and I decided to open our shop in Milan. From the beginning, our dream has been to offer authentic and high-quality products from Tibet and Nepal — statues, malas, incense, thangkas, and much more — to the local community. Our goal is to share not only valuable objects but also the stories, culture, and spiritual wisdom behind each of them.
Today, our shop has become a spacious and welcoming place at via Carlo Farini 58 in Milan, where anyone — residents and visitors alike — can experience the essence of Tibetan craftsmanship and spirituality. We are proud to promote ethical and quality products, support artisans, and create a place where tradition and modern life meet.
Continuing on this path, I am deeply grateful for the support of my family, my teachers, and all our customers. Every day, I strive to honor my roots and contribute to a better world, sharing the beauty and wisdom of Tibet with everyone who crosses the threshold of our shop.
