Cashmere, the noblest and most precious of fibers, comes from the hair of a particular goat (hircus) that lives in the cold regions of the Himalayas and Tibet.
The thinnest and finest part of the undercoat, called “Ragu”, is the raw material used to obtain this precious yarn.
