This beautiful wooden box is made in Nepal with traditional Tibetan Buddhist symbol design. It is special because it is hand-drawn on Himalayan wood, which is very light and durable. You can also use it as a jewelry box for personal items. Another thing we can do is use it as a decoration for our home and also for our offices, as it is a traditional Tibetan craft art.
In Tibet, the conch shell (dung-gyas-'khyil) is one of the Eight Auspicious Symbols of Tibetan Buddhism and represents the glory of the Dharma's teaching, whose sound spreads like the shell itself, awakening all from ignorance. It also symbolizes the female deity, protection, and the sound that proclaims enlightenment, drawing the attention of monks during ceremonies.
In Tibetan Buddhism, the Wheel of Dharma (or Dharmachakra) symbolizes the Buddha's teaching, the Eightfold Path, and the cyclical movement of Samsara (rebirth). The wheel, in its form, also represents integrity (the hub), wisdom that eliminates ignorance (the spokes), and meditative concentration (the rim). Its act of "turning" is the spreading of the Buddha's teachings to free beings from suffering.
