Samantabhadra means "Universal Goodness" and in Buddhism represents the truth, practice, and meditation of the Buddhas. He is revered as a bodhisattva,a figure embodying perseverance and faithfulness to the teachings, and is often associated with the Lotus Sutra. In some traditions, such as Vajrayana Buddhism, he is considered a "primordial Buddha" who symbolizes the emptiness of the mind.
