This beautiful wooden box is made in Nepal with traditional Tibetan Buddhist symbol designs. It is special because it is hand-drawn on Himalayan wood, which is very light and durable. It can also be used as a jewelry box for personal items. Another thing we can do is use it as a decoration for our home and also for our offices, as it is a traditional art of Tibetan craftsmanship.
In Tibet, the conch shell (dung-gyas-'khyil) is one of the Eight Auspicious Symbols of Tibetan Buddhism and represents the glory of the Dharma's teachings, whose sound spreads like the shell itself, awakening all from ignorance. It also symbolizes the female deity, protection and the sound that proclaims enlightenment, attracting the attention of monks during ceremonies.
In Tibetan Buddhism, the lotus flower symbolizes purity, spiritual awakening, and enlightenment, as it emerges unstained from the mud to bloom in the sun, just as the mind can achieve purity even while facing the difficulties of the world. It is a central symbol, depicted as a throne for deities and representing the spiritual path, as in the mantra "Oṃ Maṇi Padme Hūṃ" (O jewel in the lotus).
