This beautiful wooden box is made in Nepal with traditional Tibetan Buddhist symbols. It is special because it is hand-painted on Himalayan wood, which is very light and durable. It can also be used as a jewelry box for personal items. Another thing we can do is use it as a decoration for our homes and also for our offices, as it is a traditional art of Tibetan craftsmanship.
In Tibetan Buddhism, the Dharma Wheel (or Dharmachakra) symbolizes the Buddha's teachings, the Eightfold Path, and the cyclical movement of Samsara (rebirth). The wheel, in its form, also represents integrity (the hub), wisdom that eliminates ignorance (the spokes), and meditative concentration (the rim). Its act of "turning" is the spread of the Buddha's teachings to free beings from suffering.
