Lemon Quartz is a variety of quartz, and therefore has the same physical and chemical properties. Its color is due to trivalent iron impurities in the crystal lattice. Compared to Citrine Quartz, it has yellower (lemon) hues and lacks the typical reddish inclusions that characterize Citrine. It is often confused with Prasiolite, from which it differs by not having the greenish tones of the latter. Its uses are in gemology (it is cut and sold as Lemon Quartz), in ornamental fields, and in the now widespread world of crystal therapy.
